Clean and cozy rooms - it felt like staying at a family house in Portugal with privacy. Excellent location in the center and just 3 minutes from the beach - perfect for pilgrims on the coastal route. Ylenia - the host - went above and beyond to take care of me when I arrived sick - making chicken soup and bringing medicine. She even sent back my clothes that I left behind to Santiago. The staff is friendly and helpful - guiding me to a parking lot and offering a glass of Port at arrival. Spacious and comfortable rooms - with well-equipped common areas and a lovely terrace. Enjoyed the themed decoration inspired by fishermen heritage. Free light breakfast and a fruteria across the street with delicious fruits.
Would recommend.

We had an incredible stay at this charming hostel. From the moment we arrived, Helena, our lovely host, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She greeted us at the front door, gave us a tour of the facilities, and even allowed us to check in early. the hostel itself was well-equipped with a full kitchen, personal bathroom, and cozy patio area. Despite the windy and rainy weather, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and returning to the hostel in the afternoon to relax. We were also delighted to find a complimentary breakfast and a glass of Porto wine provided.
Cons: Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

Loved the convenience of having a shared kitchen, although I barely used it because I'd rather eat out. The garden and terrace were nice, but I preferred exploring the city. The weak WiFi was perfect for forcing me to disconnect and enjoy my holiday.
Oh, how I hated the strong WiFi signal throughout the property. I mean, who needs to stay connected in this day and age, right?

The value for the money at this hotel was fantastic. The room wasvery comfy and tidy, and I especially loved the equipped kitchen. The location was great, really close to the beach, and the staff treated me like family.
Only one small suggestion to make the morning meal even better - a wider variety of options would be nice.

I stayed at Siglas & Runas II for one night while walking the Camino. The guesthouse is beautiful, well equipped, and spotlessly clean. With only four rooms, it has a cozy atmosphere and allowed me to make new friends with fellow pilgrims. Helena, the host, is absolutely fabulous and thought of everything. Although breakfast wasn't included, she provided snacks, coffee, and tea. The kitchen was great for preparing meals, and the adorable terrace had a washing machine and line to hang clothes. Highly recommend, especially for Viking history enthusiasts!
Can recommend this hotel.

The location of this hostel is perfect, with its close proximity to the airport. It's also conveniently located in the center of the city, making it easy to explore. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with unexpected amenities like a TV and a little patio. The host is incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing a complimentary breakfast and even a glass of Porto wine.
The mattress in the room can be a bit hard, which might be uncomfortable for those with back issues.

What a great experience! From the moment we arrived, Helena and her sons made us feel incredibly welcomed. the room was clean and comfortable, and we loved the common terrace outside. Fresh towels and daily cleaning were a nice touch, and the hygiene measures in place made us feel safe. the location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach, supermarket, and shops. We also appreciated the attention to detail, making our stay enjoyable and memorable.
That our room was right next to the road, so we had to keep the shutters closed for privacy. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience we had at the hotel.

During my recent transit in Povoa de Varzim, I stayed at the Siglas & Runas II hotel. The database accurately mentioned that this hotel is conveniently located just 25 km away from the nearest airport. This proximity made it an excellent choice for a quick overnight stay before catching my connecting flight the next day. the hotel provided a cozy and comfortable room, perfect for a weary traveler like me.
One minor drawback mentioned in the database was the location of my room, which was situated right next to the road. As a result, I had to keep the shutters closed for privacy.
